How can I get Office 365 from the Intel AppUp Small Business Service catalog hosted on the Intel Hybrid Cloud platform?

A: There are two ways to access Office 365 with the Intel AppUp Small Business Service catalog. The first and most effective way is through Microsoft SBS Essentials and the second way is through Server 2008R2. Both of these foundational gateways to Office 365 are available through the Intel AppUp Small Business Service on a very low cost per user per month elastic billing model. Office 365 licenses are then secured in the increments and types of services desired directly through Microsoft at www.office365.com.

Does it work together?

A: Yes it works extremely well together! For those who meet the criteria for off-premise hosted services from Microsoft versus on-premise locally hosted Microsoft software products, this is the optimal way to access Office 365 from a cost and efficiency perspective for small business. That is why we created this test environment for you to see for yourself how well it works together.

When should I recommend SBS Standard versus SBS Essentials?

A: SBS Standard Edition is sold when your customers have up to 75 users who demand on-premises hosted exchange/sharepoint and they like having the Server 2008 R2 license that comes with it. SBS Essentials should be sold when your customers have up to 25 users or less, and also want off-premises hosted Exchange/Sharepoint and/or cloud based office applications access vs locally hosted.
